Hello!

Writing is strange therapy for me. It works out the electric thoughts that zap and spark around in the static of my mind. If I don’t write its like a slow electrocution. However when I get all those thoughts down in writing it funnels that current of energy into something constructive instead of just needless sleep deprivation.

So I write, not because I think I'm great at it, but because I’m tired.

I'm a wife to a wonderful man who is a Pastor and I have two teenage children. And I've served in different capacities in church work; as a women's pastor, writing for a church blog, and teaching the Bible. Now I am a certified Biblical Counsellor and love being a resource of soul care for those in need. We feel honored to participate in the work of the church – with all of its highs and lows – we continuously see the hand of God leading and guiding us.

If there is one thing I've learned over the years it's that this life can seem all together meaningless and deeply worthwhile within the same moment. Ecclesiastes speaks of this dynamic perfectly, and verse 8:15 is where I got the title of this site, So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.

Living is painful business. Which means it is deeply important to take stock and appreciate the time right in front of us, while we have it. We ought to let joy accompany our toil. And that's what I'm doing here as I seek to bring reasonableness, love and truth into a world gone wild.
